Waiting waiting ....

Phew this last month when you are expecting is the worst time of your life i would think .... not able to move around much cos of your size, you dont fit into too many clothes ...crazy !! Lil one, hope you come soon now :-)

Living in the moment

Oh the article of what happened on her anniversary on my friend Roma's blog is so reminiscent of what happened to us! Children can be quite exasperating! How many of us with children in the terrible 2s and the tricky 3s dread taking the kids out to any place at all - forget a fancy one at that!

But the other day, i read an article by a mom whose children are now grown up and gone. It gave me a different perspective... She has all the time in the world now to think of all the embarassing experiences she went thru as a parent. Sometimes when she feels lonely, she goes back to such memories from the past, regales her younger friends and has a good time. She was at a restaurant once when a young mom burst into tears when her toddler was behaving really badly. Thats when she explained to the mom how important it was to just enjoy that moment and not take it so emotionally. People do understand that children do not understand 5 star etiquette.

Living in the moment and enjoying life, i would say is what all this is about..Like my MIL quotes nityananda: "Be Awake and aware and you will enjoy life".

Buying $100 million homes ? Forbes has some useful tips

Ever wonder what it is to live like a millionaire or a billionaire? Well, Forbes now helps us wonder-in times of recession, how it would be to dream of a house that costs more than a $100 million dollars:-)

Well i dont know about you, but i normally love looking at beautifully done up houses and drooling over them... So Forbes has helped me with a nice set of pics of these homes... you will just need to adjust the slide speed though to ensure you get a good view... happy imagining !

Just keep what Roosevelt said in mind: "No one can make you feel inferior without your permission"

Who am I ?

Just yesterday, we went to a park with a nice big flower garden and a play area. My focus was to get past the crowd and reach the play area asap where my son could have a good time ...but my 3 yr old son had other plans..he would stop look at the flowers, point something out to me and ask me what it was... stop to smile at ppl, look at the sky and here i was getting all antsy.
Then suddenly ZAPP ! i could see that my son was teaching me something here...I thought about my life till date ... focused on studies in school and college and then focused on CA... then immly took to working and now after 10 years of working, i am pregnant with our second child and have been forced to take a break on account of health conditions.
Suddenly, the routine of getting up in the morning, finishing the chores, and getting to work, meeting deadlines at work to arrive home for dinner and then sleep was no longer there. I was totally lost! My world completely caved in and i gave in to a lot of self pity.
They say you get to know who your true friends are at times like this, but it also got me wondering who the real me was! Was i too caught up in the rut of life to just stop and look at everything and give something back to my soul? Of COURSE !!!
So I' ve now resolved to in Sergie Brin (Co founder of Google)'s words to keep stumbling upon newer things and trying them out ... surely one of some of them will be more valuable..
